From Venta to JOLT: Lighting the way for a brave new brand

The challenge

Unless you’re in the auto trade, you’ve probably never heard of Venta. The vehicle lighting brand was promoted almost exclusively by on-the-ground sales reps, distributing product catalogues and price lists in person to fitters and resellers. Venta’s owners approached Big Fish with the idea of developing a recognisable and desirable brand that would turn the business model on its head, driving demand via online channels, and raising the profile and value of the company.

The solution

Understanding the product journey from manufacturer to end user led us to develop a strategy that targeted each audience individually but cohesively. Our bold strategy focused on driving demand from end users, even though they are not direct customers. The resulting JOLT brand and Night Heroes campaigns were designed to resonate with the drivers and machinery operators who use and ultimately benefit from the products. Simultaneously, the needs of fitters and resellers were addressed, enabling them to easily specify JOLT over competitor alternatives.
