The challenge

Promoting Auckland Airport at international trade shows and supporting their expansion plans required a new dramatic approach. Needing to show the hive of activity at the airport in a creative and engaging way.

The solution

Using time lapse photography bigfish documented the airport over 24hrs. Clever camera techniques and fully ropes trained videographers enabled us to reach stunning locations where access is usually restricted. Locations like the rooftop and the apron of the radio tower provided us with amazing angles to capture the scale of the planes and shooting through the night using long exposure times captured lights across the scene. This video showcases the airport and the footage has been used across Auckland Airport’s advertising and promotional material.
