As the 2011 Rugby World Cup approached we were asked to develop a brand for Whangarei. The brief was to nurture the creation of a brand that would positively change the perception of Whangarei, for both residents and visitors.
Our response was to create a community led platform for the Whangarei District and Whangarei: Love it Here!” was born. Its fresh highly visual style combined with community competitions resulted in stunning photography and products with positive tone of voice captured the hearts of residents and visitors alike. A brand that everyone locally could connect with and gave visitors a glimpse of what Whangarei really had to offer.
Almost 10 years later, bigfish has continued to lead tourism marketing in Northland, producing the majority of Whangarei and Northland Visitor guides and tourism marketing products. Our high quality publications showcase Whangarei and Northland nationally and internationally.
